Comfort phones for a comfortable life

Maxcom offers a series of comfort phones designed to provide elderly customers with all the necessary phone features and functions.

The Poland-based tech company specializes in developing unique phones that simplify elders’ everyday lives and are an alternative for those who cannot or do not want to use the so-called smartphones.

The MM735 and the MM461 are two of the most famous comfort phones produced by Maxcom that can be characterized as well-equipped, reliable, and value for money.

A phone with a lifesaving wristband

Maxcom MM735 is not only a perfectly comfortable phone for the elderly, but it is also a lifesaving device. The phone comes with a wireless, waterproof SOS wristband that enables automatic connection to predefined numbers and the emergency number 112.

In case an older person encounters a problem, they can immediately ask for help by utilizing the capabilities of this comfort phone. Thanks to the built-in GPS module, the phone sends an SMS with the location and map links. In addition, the ICE (In Case of an Emergency) contact can check the phone location by sending a special SMS request.

The MM735 has big comfortable keys designed to help the elderly dial numbers or write texts easily. Also, the phone comes with a stand with a charger function, which means that once the phone’s owner comes home, the MM735 functions like a wireless landline phone.

Regarding its specs, the MM735 has a 1400 mAh battery, a 2Mpx camera, and a memory of 8MB +16MB. Moreover, it has a hands-free mode, audio and video player, audio recorder, loud ringer, high contrast mode, and dedicated flashlight button.

Simple and functional

Maxcom MM461 is a simple and functional phone for the elderly with a convenient function of voice announcement of the dialed number.

This comfort phone is characterized as ideal for the home, office, or on the go. Thanks to its battery of 600 mAh, the MM461 remains functional for 5-7 days, and the talk time is calculated as up to 180 minutes.

“Now you can be in constant contact with your loved ones without having to worry about the sudden upset of your phone,” said Maxcom. “When you return home, put the phone in the office. This is a very convenient way to have a configured phone without the need for a persistent push to transfer it to a traditional device”.

Like MM735, the Maxcom MM461 also has a functional SOS button, enabling emergency assistance by sending SMS messages to predefined numbers.

Regarding its specs, MM461 comes with a camera of 0.3Mpx, large font, and a simple menu. It has a 4MB + 4 MB memory and a hands-free mode. This comfort phone also has an alarm clock, calculator, calendar, flashlight, radio FM, loud ringer, and large comfortable keys.

Indeed, these mobiles do not offer functions like those of smartphones, which dominate the market. However, they are a worthwhile option for the elderly and those who do not wish to use smartphones anymore. After all, they offer the essential functions that an elderly person needs, allowing for quick and easy making of calls, and at the same time, they can save lives thanks to the “smart” functions they offer, such as the SOS help button.
